Why is the application called ‘PotisPlanner’?
‘Potis’ is a Latin adjective meaning ‘able’, ‘capable’, or ‘possible’.
Is there a limit to the number of lanes, activities, and activity groups that can be created in the application?
There is no limit to the number of lanes, activities, and activity groups in any project.
Is there a mobile version of the application?
While the application *will* run on any browser, usage on mobile devices is not supported.
What kind of data is collected by the app and this website?
The app runs locally and does not collect any kind of data. The website collects only usage analytics. No project data ever leaves your computer.
My activity moved to a different lane! What happened?
If the activity contains a date and has been placed in a lane which is associated with a dynamic date, the activity will ‘snap’ to a lane with the same date or the closest date ahead of the activity’s date.
This happens when the activity is created, when it is edited, when it is moved to a lane, and at the application start.
What are the differences between the web and desktop (MS store) versions of the app?
The two applications are the same. The desktop application, however, is more responsive and more suited to day-to-day usage.
All major future additions to the app (undo/redo, reports, advanced visualizations, …) will be made available to the desktop version only.
What are the benefits of the desktop (MS store) application compared to the web version?
The desktop application is more responsive and can store its preferences, so that, for example, it can remember the last file opened.
Once the desktop application is bought, it will give access to all updates and new features at no additional cost – even if the price in the Micrsoft store increases.
All major new features will be made available only to the desktop version of the application.
And, finally, buying the store version sustains the future development of the application.
